Hi there! Welcome to the site - thanks for visiting & for all support & donations. What a tremendous trip to The Great Wall. Great group too. If there's anything you'd like to know, please get in touch. Have a really great day!
Fundraising - Autumn 2007 to Summer 2008 - extended due to great encouragement & support, thank you :)
FILM FOOTAGE & AUDIO RECORDINGS at various sections of The Great Wall. A couple of video clips are slightly longer so why not go grab a coffee or a glass of wine (the latter...if it's past mid-day)!
FILM FOOTAGE: 5 videos (amateur!) are included here.
Videos (1) & (2) were taken 3 days after completing the trek - the group had returned to Australia & hubby Jamie & kids had come over (to celebrate son George's 5th birthday!). Dedicated to nephew Tom Parker, teacher & class who have been following the trek in England! And for the Reception year kids at the Australian International School.
Videos (3) & (4) are 'live' from the 6-day trek. Video 5 is an extra!
1. 'MINI-DOC': A recap of the 6-day trek for cancer research (an unplanned piece of filming!).

4. JINSHANLING & GUBEIKOU: A walk along really old sections. Joined by guides at Gubeikou (lovely people but incredibly slow walkers!). Vertigo sufferers – look out!

5. HOTEL STAFF: The only non-wall film! The daily morning ritual for hotel employees! Aren't we lucky we don't have to do such 'stuff' each morning. Some 'local talent' at the end...

1. JOHN KELLY’S reflections of the week’s walk at summit of Simatai – a lovely couple of minutes. AUDIO CLIP & PHOTOS

3. MADNESS YET TRANQUILITY AT GUBEIKOU. Arriving by bus, near-Beatlemania being 'greeted' by the locals at Gubeikou...then trekking off towards Jinshanling...AUDIO CLIP & PHOTOS.
